opening 21 march, from 11.00 am to 6.00 pm

Based on the idea of the artistic director of the Museo Novecento in Florence, Sergio Risaliti, six art galleries in Florence, from Sunday 21 March give life to the project Primo Vere.
The initiative was born in symbolic concomitance with the spring equinox, just as the title refers to the editorial debut of the very young Gabriele d’Annunzio who, at the age of 16, published his first collection of poems.
The galleries involved are Frittelli, Il Ponte, La Portineria, Poggiali, Santo Ficara, Eduardo Secci Contemporary.

Jacopo Buono, Matteo Coluccia, Stefano Giuri exhibit at Il Ponte.

    Jacopo Buono SUBLIME FRIDGE
Every clouds of any day is unique. Constable’s pictures and even Luigi Ghirri’s photos of the Infinito collection recall the same search for the unique daily truth. I focused on the rebirth of the typical feelings from the Romanticism. During the period of lockdown of some months ago I felt emotions typical in the 19th century but in completely different society. These feelings could be useful (maybe) in the next future. What’s sublimity today? Is even sublimity a product? It’s the construction of different items to preserve sublimity. These things underline the contrast between the rough period we lived and the gentle emotions felting the same period.
I will make use of one the most pop and branded item that you can find into the market: refrigerator cabinets I will replace the products usually contained the cabinet with daily devices playing video of clouds.
I will replace the brand with sublimity, freezing the voyeuristic emotions we felt. Sublimity will be there forever, fresh and ready to be used or to be bought, whenever we need it.

Matteo Coluccia PITON DE LA FURNAISE and AH! ILS S’ÉCOUTENT
In my recent works, I often go back to stage the stressing of a pleasant image. Colourful, childish and cartoonish figures are used to trigger an annoyance under the skin and to share a feeling that for something respectable and positive publicly shown, something else disturbing and negative is confined out of the scene.

    Stefano Giuri UNTITLED
In his work he analyses the connections and the relationships between the concepts of public and private space, between collective and individual memory, in order to tackle current social problems linked to the places where he works. It encompasses the idea that in every individual memory there are signs, traces and patterns connected to eras, historical and cultural contexts. In his artistic practice his interests lie in areas such as performance and sculpture.
