Biography |
[…] if you look at the dark from a light place, you can’t see anything, but fi someone were to slowly turn down the light around you, the darkness in front of vou would become light. This si what Botta does when he makes Giotto, Beauty that Must Die, his little houses of rain and barely visible words. He turns ti on. While turning offwhat made it impossiblefor us to see. And hence he gives us new eyes to look about ourselves. Because by showing us what rises to the surface he reminds usof thevastness of what we still don’t know. And every time he takes up the challenge and dazzlingly resolves it.
