At the appointment with ArteFiera 2012 Galleria il Ponte presents Artificio naturale, 2011 (Natural Artifice) by Paolo Icaro, installed in a space especially devoted to him inside the stand. In close connection with the installation, works are presented by some sculptors contemporary to him who since the end of the 1960s have followed paths close but at once different to his: Jannis Kounellis, Hidetoshi Nagasawa, Renato Ranaldi, Gianni Pettena, Giuseppe Spagnulo, Mauro Staccioli. Alongside these works is a piece by a much younger sculptor, Roberto Pietrosanti, to whom the gallery will devote a solo exhibition in the spring of this year. Presented together with these sculptures are more strictly conceptual works by Alighiero Boetti (1988), Joseph Kosuth (1968), Mario Merz (1970), Salvo (1971) and Gilbero Zorio (1974). In contrast with this “black and white” area, so to speak closed off by a large cardboard work by Mimmo Paladino, are the works of some Nouveaux Réalistes: Arman, César, Raymond Hains and some paintings from the early 1960s by Dorazio and Perilli.

Works are available upon request by:
Valerio Adami, Arman, Gianfranco Baruchello, Enrico Baj, Mauro Betti, Pier Paolo Calzolari, Arturo Carmassi, Mario Ceroli, Giuseppe Chiari, Antonio Corpora, Stefano Cossu, Tano Festa, Bruno Gambone, Raymond Hains, David Hockney, Allen Jacquet, Joseph Kosuth, Luigi Mainolfi, Sebastian Matta, Mario Merz, Aldo Mondino, Giulia Napoleone, A. R. Penck, Peter Philips, Roberto Pietrosanti, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Mimmo Paladino, Gerhard Richter, Mimmo Rotella, Emilio Scanavino, Mario Schifano, Daniel Spoerri, Salvo, Jean Tinguely, Joe Tilson, Ben Vautier, Alberto Zorzi.
